Drillco 4500E/4550E/4570E Taper Pin Reamers
Overview
Taper Pin Reamers are manufactured with a taper of 1/4" per foot. They are used to ream holes into which standard taper pins will fit. The point of each reamer will enter a hole that has been reamed by the next smaller size. Holes to be reamed should be a few thousandths smaller than the small diameter of the finished reamed hole. Square shanks allow hand (straight or spiral fluted) reamers to be held in a tap wrench or vise. This depends on whether the reamer will be rotated, or the part that is being worked on.
